Sophie Quayle is the daughter of my cousin Marcus Quayle and his wife Emily.
Their beautiful daughter was diagnosed with a diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma. This type of tumor is located in the brainstem, at the base of the brain. It is diagnosed primarily in children and is the rarest and worst of pediatric brain tumors. There are approximately 150 to 200 kids diagnosed each year and survival time is typically 9 to 12 months following diagnosis.
Sophie's family has set up a blog just like this one at www.smilesforsophie.com . Her story is a heartbreaking tale of courage. Please keep Sophie in your prayers as she fights for a miracle.

Spring Break in Orlando!
I am adding this picture of Molly and Olivia after I read Aunt Lucia's comment about Ethan...Can you believe these 2 girls? They are wonderful and I love
them both!
Left photo.... Olivia, Molly, Ethan.
Below photo... Ed Ryan and Ethan in the very front with the girls behind them.... Melissa and I on the bench!
Spring Break was extra special this year when we were able to meet up with our dear friends the Ryans and their extended family at Fort Wilderness. Molly and Olivia have been buddies since they were weeks old, but not lived local to each other for several years and it was nice to see how they simply fall into place when together again. We visited Downtown Disney and Sea World.
Bunche Beach with the Clarke's!
Bunche Beach is the small beach at the south end of our street. The Clarke's are our friends from England that vacation her twice a here. Molly and Jamie have been playing together for years and really have a blast together! We had a nice day in the sun, building castles, flying a kite, and reading with Nana for a drowsy finish
