After school on Monday...

After school on Monday I took Molly and her friend Dana with her mom to Hollyoak Stables where Ms Cathie let the girls "split" a lesson. The purpose was to give Molly a quick refresh and for Dana to try it out. I think we were successful in our efforts and efforts are under way for summer camp! In the photo below.... can you see Molly's "aw, mom!"

Mother's Day at the Naples Zoo

After a fun day at the zoo, we rested and then went out to dinner. Look at Molly in her "Grandpa Leone Easter dress"

Thank you all for your Mother's Day wishes. My sister-in-law, Mindy had sent me a card with a quote that I thought was really cool..... "The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but never the mother. A mother is something absolutely new" ~Rajneesh

Thank you Mindy and Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there!

A zoo gardner placed a monarch butterfly in Molly's hand.

We watched 3 Florida panthers get a morning snack.

Slumber Party at the Treehouse...

Friday night Molly had her friends Lily and Virgina over for a slumber party. After they played and had pizza, they talked me into letting them sleep in my bed since they were 3 and I could sleep in Molly's smaller bed! They had a great time together and giggled, giggled, giggled! The photo of the girls laying on the bed is fun because my mom has made all 3 of those nightgowns!

Ft Myers Beach

Wednesday night we had dinner at Ft Myers Beach with Lynne, Taylor, and my good friend Kathy. This was perfect for Molly because we could sit and eat while she chased birds. Being a Florida child who spent a lot of time at the beach with a lab, she LOVES to chase birds...with or without the dog!

Uncle Taylor in the basement?

Molly and I are having so much fun blogging that we thought we'd share some "out of date sequence" photo's that I know I never sent out copies of! My cousin Taylor has been staying with us since Thanksgiving. He has worked the season at the Prawnbroker and is now getting ready to head to North Carolina in a few weeks. It has been fun to have him around and we will miss him when he goes...

The first 3 photo's are from a trip to the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island last December. Look below to see the 6 foot alligator taking a nap behind Molly.

This pic is from a "boat day" with my friend Dana.
